Plot Factory Discord

You may have to be physically alone but that doesn’t mean you have to be socially alone. If you haven’t already, bop over to the Plot Factory Discord server and start chatting with us. We have channels for writing, sharing and feeding back on work, general chat, poetry, memes, pets - we have something for everyone. The server is full of genuinely fabulous people and it’s completely free to be part of the Plot Factory Discord community. Come and talk to us!

Content for you

If you’re stuck at home, it’s a great time to read, as well as write. We’ve got some extra special content coming to the Plot Factory blog very soon (look out for the email) but in the meantime here are a few things to get you started, produced by members of the Plot Factory community:

  • The Plot Factory Medium
Did you know you can read all of our blog posts and more over on Medium, as well as on the Plot Factory website?

  • Chocolate in the Time of CV-19
Plot Factory mod-extraordinaire Choco is blogging her experiences as a teacher for the hearing impaired during the CV-19 outbreak. Check out her first post And the schools are still closed.

  • Transient (Outer Realities Book 1)
If you're a fan of fantasy, why not try out Roger Sash's debut novel, best known to us as 'Sol' over on the Plot Factory Discord.

  • The Writer’s Cookbook
Kristina Adams' website is packed with great articles on writing and creating fiction. You can also pick up one of her nine published books on Amazon. The first in the What Happens In... series is currently available on Kindle for free, so make sure you check her out.

  • Tainted Eden
Are you into web comics? If so, check out Tainted Eden by ShyGuy.

  • COVID-19 & The Rise of the Writers
Head back to Medium for this free article on COVID-19 and how to make the best of being a writer during a pandemic.

Are you publishing at the moment? Make sure you let us know!

NaNoWriMo April

Next week marks the start of April and, of course, the start of 2020’s first Camp NaNoWriMo. The camp events are aimed at any kind of writing project (not just novels) and now is the perfect time to get involved. We’ll be setting up a special channel on the Plot Factory Discord so April campers can talk NaNo, share encouragement and maybe offer a sneak peak at their WIP.

Camp NaNo is also free to participate in. There’s never been a better time to pick up your pen or hit the keyboard.

Find out more about Camp NaNo or start writing right now.

We’re discounting all new memberships

We know a lot of you are thinking about going Plot Factory Pro for Camp NaNo or to support a quarantine inspired push on your writing projects. For the next three months we’re going to be offering all new paid tier memberships a large discount, to help make that possible.

New annual memberships will be 50% off and monthly memberships will be 50% off for six months. You will also still be able to take advantage of a two week full feature free trial, so you can try before you buy.
